CleanFolio Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 26, 2026

This policy replaces the June 14, 2025 privacy policy from the old CleanFolio site. CleanFolio is a product of Normal Narwhal LLC, a Nevada limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”). It explains here how we collect, use, share, and store information on the public marketplace athttps://cleanfolio.io/, optional cleaner mini-sites on a CleanFolio subdomain, and the account app at https://app.cleanfolio.io/(together, the “Service”).

By using the Service you agree to this policy. Sending a message to a cleaner is use of the Service even if you have no account.

1. Types of users

This policy applies to:

  • Guests. People who browse listings or send a message without an account.
  • Seekers. People who create an account so we can keep a copy of messages they send. Guest messages still work with no account.
  • Cleaners. People who create an account and publish a listing, or who claim an imported listing.
  • Operators of imported listings. People who claim or request removal of a listing we republished from public sources. They may already have a seeker or cleaner account.

2. Information we collect

a. Information you give us

WhoWhat we collect
GuestsNothing required to browse. If you send a message: your name, email, and message text. City or ZIP if you search.
SeekersAccount email and password. Messages you send (name, email, and text), linked to your account when the email matches. We do not collect payment card data.
CleanersAccount email and password. Listing name, profile slug, optional subdomain slug, city, optional street or ZIP (used to place you on the map), and service radius. We do not collect payment card data.

b. Information we collect automatically

  • Device and usage. IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time. We use the IP address to rate-limit guest messages (a small number per minute per address) and some claim or removal actions.
  • Account session. The account app keeps you signed in with a session cookie. The public marketplace does not use advertising cookies.
  • Analytics (Fathom). On the public site and the account app we load a Fathom script (site ID LLWHLUGV). Fathom counts page views without advertising cookies. We skip it on localhost.

c. Information from third parties

We do not offer social or Google login. When a cleaner saves a city or address, or a guest searches by city or ZIP, we may send that place text to our geocoding provider (Geocodio) so we can store a map point and show nearby listings. We do not send guest message text to that provider.

d. Information from public sources

We may compile a listing from information that was already public: business name, city or area, a phone number or website if the source published them, and a source URL or id. We may also store a contact email solely so the operator can prove control. We do not show that email on the public site. We will not email a scraped address to announce a listing or to ask anyone to claim it.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Operate the marketplace, listings, mini-sites, and account app.
  • Deliver a guest message to a cleaner who has turned messages on.
  • Email that cleaner a copy of the message, when email is enabled.
  • Place a listing near a city or ZIP and show nearby results.
  • Keep accounts secure and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Prove a claim or a removal when you ask us to.
  • Hide an imported listing from search while we review a qualified removal request.
  • Send a one-time SMS code to the listed number when you use SMS proof and that method is available.
  • Fix problems and understand how the Service is used.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not process payments.

4. How we share your information

With whomWhat and why
The cleaner you messageYour name, email, and message. That is the point of the form. We only do this when that cleaner has turned messages on. The cleaner can then reply to you directly.
Email provider (Postmark)When we send a lead notice, we send the cleaner’s email and the message details so the notice can be delivered.
Analytics (Fathom)Page URL, referrer, and browser data so we can count visits. Fathom does not use advertising cookies. The site ID is public.
Logs (Mezmo)Server logs (including IP address and error text) so we can operate and debug the apps. The Mezmo key stays on the server.
Error tracking (Honeybadger)Exception data from the servers so we can fix crashes. The Honeybadger key stays on the server and is not in the public site’s browser bundle.
SMS provider (Telnyx)When you request an SMS claim or removal code, we send the listed number and a one-time code so the text can be delivered. We store a hash of the code, not the code itself. Server logs of a send use a hash of the destination, not the raw number.
Geocoding provider (Geocodio)City, ZIP, or address text, so we can store a location. We do not publish a cleaner’s street address on the public site.
Hosting and database providersThe apps and MongoDB data live on our hosts so the Service can run.
The publicListing name, city or area, profile URL, and mini-site (if the cleaner set one). For an imported listing, a phone or website that was already public. Not the source email.
Legal authoritiesIf required by law or to protect our rights.
Business transfersIn connection with a merger, sale, or acquisition.
With your consentAs we tell you at the time, and only if you agree.

5. Public information

A listed cleaner’s name, city or area, profile page, and optional mini-site are public. An imported listing may also show a phone or website that was already public. We do not publish the cleaner’s account email, password, street address, or a source email stored for claim proof. Guest messages are not public; they go to the one cleaner you contacted.

6. Data retention

We keep account and listing data while the account is open. We keep guest messages so the cleaner can read them. We keep retired slugs for a limited time so old links still work, then we drop them. You may ask us to delete your account or a message (see “Your rights”). We may keep a record if the law requires it.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or update your personal information.
  • Request deletion of your account, listing, or a guest message.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent where we rely on consent.

Cleaners can edit their listing in the account app. To exercise other rights, email [email protected].

8. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure. Use the Service at your own risk.

9. Children’s privacy

The Service is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. You must be 18 to send a message or create an account. If you believe we have information from a child, contact us for removal.

10. International users

If you access the Service from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the new policy on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect is acceptance of the new policy.

12. Contact us

For questions about this policy or your information, contact[email protected]. The entity responsible for information collected through the Service is Normal Narwhal LLC (Nevada, United States).
